The blade is carefully crafted by combining VG10 & 15N20 steel through a process of layering, forge welding, hammering, and shaping. This process creates a distinctive Damascus pattern across every blade, giving each Aurora Chef Knife its own individual handcrafted appearance.

The blade is oil quenched at approximately 2100°F and rapidly cooled, with the process repeated twice to develop hardness throughout the steel. The finished blade achieves approximately HRC 62+ on the Rockwell Scale for excellent strength, hardness, durability, and edge retention.

The 8.0" chef blade provides a versatile cutting profile suited for slicing, chopping, dicing, mincing, trimming, and general kitchen preparation.

Scales & Handle Detail:

The handle is handcrafted from exotic olive burl wood combined with resin composite, creating a distinctive design with natural grain, depth, and color variation.

The handle is carefully sealed and finished to help reduce cracking, drying, and moisture absorption while preserving the natural character of the olive burl. Full tang construction extends the blade steel through the handle for added strength, stability, and dependable balance.
